AMSTERDAM (June 23, 2016) – Prologis, Inc., the global leader in logistics real estate, today announced that it has delivered a 55,000 square metre distribution facility at Prologis Park Liège for Skechers, a worldwide leader in the high performance and lifestyle footwear industry.
The new facility is part of the 100,000 square meters that Prologis has developed for Skechers. From this hub, Skechers will organize its European distribution network. The facility is part of Prologis Park Liège, which has direct access to the A40, a major road near Liège. Further, the park is close to the German border and is an hour’s drive from Brussels.
“Our partnership with Skechers began in 2002, when the company started with 25,000 square meters,” said Bram Verhoeven, country manager, Prologis Benelux. “In 2009, we expanded space for Skechers with 25,000 square meters and in 2015 signed them for a 55,000 square meter lease.”
“We are happy to add this distribution capacity to our European distribution network. The extra capacity is very much welcomed to accommodate our growth,” said Sophie Houtmeyers, VP, Skechers Europe.
