Prologis, Inc., the global leader in logistics real estate, has acquired a new property at business park Lage Weide in Utrecht. The distribution center, constructed in 2018, covers 9,900 square meters and is close to two other Prologis properties (DC1 and DC2) that are located at the business park. The newly acquired warehouse is fully leased for 10 years.

The strategic and central location of this acquisition is in line with Prologis’ strategy to create logistics city hubs surrounding major cities, to respond to the growing demand for city distribution and sustainable ‘last mile’ delivery. Jack Geurtjens, Vice President Capital Deployment at Prologis, about the acquisition: “We are pleased  to add this property to our portfolio. Lage Weide is one of the most strategic logistic hotspots in the Netherlands and therefore we are keen to grow our presence in this market.”

In this acquisition, Prologis was supported by broker JLL and legal consultant Clifford Chance. Technical support was provided by CBRE.
