Prologis, the global leader in logistics real estate, puts sustainability at the heart of all activities; from developing energy-efficient buildings to offering customer-centric solutions. Together with partner Sunrock, a large-scale independent solar developer in the Benelux, and many of Prologis’ tenants, tremendous effort has been put in the Prologis Benelux solar project to significantly increase the number of distribution centers fitted with rooftop solar panels. Through this team effort, the Prologis Benelux solar project has now reached the milestone of 100MW of built solar power on the local Prologis roofs.

In total, this leads to a reduction of 22,973 kg of CO2 emissions a year, equaling the energy use of no less than 27,000 households. These figures make Prologis Benelux a big contributor to clean energy within the Netherlands, running at the forefront with solar in Europe and worldwide. The Prologis Benelux solar project aims to generate 400 megawatts of solar energy by 2025.
