AMSTERDAM (February 11, 2016) – XPO Logistics, a top ten global provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions, and Prologis, the global leader in industrial real estate, today announced a build-to-suit agreement for a new 35,000 square meter logistics warehouse. The facility will be developed in Prologis Fokker Logistics Park at Schiphol airport in the Netherlands, and will service XPO customers in the high tech industry.

This Schiphol facility will be the twenty-first supply chain site for XPO Logistics in the Netherlands. When completed in November of this year, it will expand XPO Logistics’ warehousing space in the country to over 615,000 square meters.

Prologis Fokker Logistics Park is the largest airport-linked, privately owned logistics business park in Europe, with a total 89,500 square meters of logistics space. Prologis plans on doubling the number of square meters within two to three years, providing greater flexibility for users to grow their business.

“The choice of this location made perfect sense. Schiphol is an important gateway to our domestic distribution facilities, and the Prologis Fokker Logistics Park offers us the flexibility to grow, as we are steadily expanding in the Netherlands,” said Mauro Ungheretti, Netherlands-Belgium-Germany managing director for XPO Logistics.

“We are very proud to accommodate the growth of our long-term customer XPO Logistics. This agreement is remarkable as the largest logistics development to date for a single customer at Schiphol Airport,” commented Bram Verhoeven, country manager for Prologis Benelux.
