Partnership
Our partnership with Coolblue started in 2012 with a 7,000 square meter lease in an already-existing distribution center. Soon after, Coolblue expanded with the development of a 25,000 square meter distribution facility at Prologis Park Tilburg. The development, located in the industrial park Vossenberg-West, started in 2014. Tilburg is one of the Netherlands’ logistics hot spots due to its location close to the north-south and east-west corridors. “We have achieved growth figures of more than 40 percent in 10 consecutive quarters since we began to invest more toward our customers’ needs,” said Coolblue CEO Pieter Zwart. “Ordered today means delivered today. This new facility will help us to maintain our high level of customer service and meet rapid growth figures,” Zwart said at the time of the expansion.
Expansion
After continued growth, Coolblue expanded again in 2016, signing a 36,000 square meter agreement for a second expansion at Prologis Park Tilburg. This project increased Coolblue’s total space at the park to more than 60,000 square meters and further strengthened Prologis’ position as a leading provider of industrial real estate in the region.
Third phase
In 2017, Prologis developed another 37,000 square meters entering the third and last phase of a 100,000 square meter distribution center. Over the last three years, total square meters for Coolblue has increased to four times the original size. With the current expansion, Prologis Park Tilburg comprises a total of 260,000 square meters of state-of-the-art, BREEAM-certified distribution facilities.
