Prologis was nominated for the BREEAM Awards 2021 with Prologis Park Eindhoven DC4. The BREEAM Awards is an annual celebration that recognizes the people, projects and organizations leading the way with significant achievements in sustainable building design, development and management. Eindhoven DC4 was shortlisted from a large number of international projects and is up for the Design Stage Award for BREAAM Outstanding projects, the highest-ranked BREAAM rating.

Eindhoven DC4 is a great example of the next generation of warehouse facilities. It is energy neutral, has a human-centric design, sets a technological benchmark, and is healthy for employees on the inside and ecology friendly on the outside. “Our philosophy to integrate sustainability into the design, implementation and operation of our buildings was perfectly applied. With this building, we are setting a new direction in warehouse design, making this warehouse more than four walls and a roof,” explains Sander Breugelmans, regional head Northern Europe, Prologis.

The design of Eindhoven DC4 has an eye for detail and, although modest, it’s striking. A light strip on the outer fascia can be programmed to match the branding of every new tenant. Marijn Kuijken, director, project management Benelux says, “This building represents our aesthetic, sustainable and social ambitions. A brilliant new perspective!

The BREEAM Awards 2021 start March 23 and will span three days.
