Gumax, Europe’s largest provider of terrace roofs, will open a sustainable warehouse at Trade Port North in Venlo. Developed by Prologis, the custom warehouse will consist of 18,000 square meters and cover a total of 93,000 square meters. The opening of the state-of-the-art logistics facility, called DC9, is scheduled for January 2022.

Tailor-Made Warehouse
With construction currently underway, the warehouse will be equipped with the latest technologies. Built according to BREEAM accreditation and WELL certification, the roof will be equipped with solar panels. Both partners are pleased with the collaboration.

Regular Customer in Venlo
Prologis has been active in Venlo for decades—and for good reason. DC9 is at Venlo Trade Port North, part of Greenport Venlo. Its central location and excellent road, rail and water connections make it a logistics hotspot in Europe. Prologis has high expectations for further growth with Venlo DC9 and the collaboration with Gumax.

Sander Breugelmans, regional head Northern Europe at Prologis, says, "Long-term partnerships are a priority for us. We are therefore looking forward to welcoming Gumax and to further expanding our customer portfolio in Venlo. Prologis Park Venlo DC9 is a great example of our ambition to grow responsibly in Venlo with a new, ultra-modern and sustainable logistics center at the Trade Port North business park.’’

2022: Half a Million Square Meters in Use
Upon completion of Venlo DC9 in 2022, Prologis will operate a total of half a million square meters in Venlo. In this development, Prologis is assisted by partners Cushman & Wakefield, Jones lang LaSalle and DLA Piper.
